CANADA NEEDS INFRASTRUCTURE TO PROTECT OURSELVES
The NeeStaNan Utility Corridor Project

“Indigenous utility corridors to the shores of Hudson Bay”

THE NEED:

Canada needs to reduce our vulnerability to those who want to influence our resource development, security decisions and our control in the North.

THE PROBLEM:

The new President of the USA is threatening us with tariff and trade disputes to force Canada to become the 51st State. Additionally, in the last several years, major ports (Vancouver and Montreal) have been shut down with labor disputes, railway outages, and weather challenges.

THE COST:

Canada cannot obtain world prices for many of our natural resources. Exports of energy, potash, agricultural products, minerals, and metals are disadvantaged due to inefficient and absent transportation routes. This costs our Canadian economy by giving significant opportunities for Americans and others to profit using our current limited access to international markets – and now the new American President is threatening Canada’s very existence.

THE SOLUTION IS THE NEESTANAN PROJECT:

  1. An additional seaport on Hudson Bay – a year-round port complete with infrastructure to handle large ships with all imports and exports needs.
  2. Enhanced rail operations in conjunction with existing facilities.
  3. Pipeline, powerlines and fibre optics.

Tangible Benefits are:

  • extra revenue for the Canadian economy;
  • lower GHG emissions;
  • shorter more effective trade routes;
  • better access to green energy; and
  • Indigenous economic development and reconciliation.

The end result is a Stronger Canada.
This is a multigenerational project with huge benefits for all.
